Resolution of the General Assembly (project)

Upon call of the Collective of Contract Agents

1. The General Assembly of 17 February 2012 supports the proposals of Contract Agents – extension of contract duration to 6 years and access to competitions for tenure - contained in the reform proposal of the Commission.
2. The Assembly votes for the immediate adoption of transitional measures for maintaining current personnel whose contracts expire before the adoption of the new statute.
3. It calls for the unity of trade unions, necessary to obtain guarantees for:
   
   
   • The holding of competitions for tenure upon adoption of the new statute, with a significant number of positions available;
   • The immediate adoption of transitional administrative arrangements for maintaining current contract agents whose contracts would expire before adoption of the new statute, to enable them to benefit from the progress of negotiations;
   • The immediate opening of negotiations with the Administration.
