Learn More about Arc en Ciel
Arc en Ciel's activities are mainly directed towards disadvantaged young people in Belgium. More than 300 groups are members of Arc en Ciel.
Thousands of disadvantaged children and young people benefit from the activities of Arc-en-Ciel. These activities include, in particular :
- Residential Homes
Children in these homes are taken care of 24hours a day, all through the year. The children are supported by a team of professionals, as well as educators, who look after the individual and specific needs of each child. Some of the children have mental or physical disabilities and in other cases there is the need to work on the emotional development and abilities of the children and their parents.
- Associations working in public (homework schools, local homes, children's homes, etc.)
These associations are notably working in preventative support to benefit children and young people. Developing spaces where they can meet and express themselves openly, through a variety of ways, are ways to support these young people in their own communities: their school, their family, their neighbourhood …. Individual or collective support - There are many ways to support children and young people to integrate.
If you would like to help us and you don't have toys to donate, you can also make a donation to Arc-en-Ciel (allowable for tax above 40 euros).
Union Syndicale would be delighted to invite you to join us for a drink on 4 December 2015 @ 13h where a representative of Arc-en-Ciel will be present.
Union Syndicale Brussels is the biggest trade union in the European Public Service. It has its headquarters in Brussels, and its members are drawn from all the European institutions and organisations. Union Syndicale Brussels has thus become the principal and unavoidable negotiator for the administrative and political authorities of the Commission, the Council of the European Union, the External Action Service, the European Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of the Regions and Eurocontrol.
Union Syndicale Brussels has thus inevitably become the principal, not to say ineluctable, port of call, when negotiation is required, for those in charge of administration and policy-making in the Commission, Council, European Economic and Social Committee, Committee of the Regions, Eurocontrol and European Parliament (in this last case together with Union Syndicale Luxembourg).
